Spotlight on The Assistance League of Long Beach

We’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on a local nonprofit that has been making a significant impact in Long Beach, California – The Assistance League of Long Beach. In our Nonprofit Spotlight today, we’d like to highlight the outstanding work and support from Dr. Faustino Bernadett and Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett over the years.

For over three decades, The Assistance League of Long Beach has been dedicated to empowering under-served, academically promising students from the Long Beach Unified School District high schools and Long Beach City College through their CAMEO program. The heart of their mission lies in providing one-on-one mentoring support to enhance each student’s educational and personal development.

Dr. Faustino Bernadett and Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett have been longstanding supporters of this remarkable organization. Their connection to CAMEO began through Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett’s aunt, Rosi Pedersen, a dedicated CAMEO member. Rosi not only served as a member but also chaired the Assistance League of Long Beach professional group for two terms, leaving a lasting legacy of commitment.

CAMEO’s comprehensive curriculum goes beyond academics. It includes monthly enrichment workshops, cultural activities, paid summer internships with local business partners, financial aid for educational scholarships, computer equipment, and school supplies. These offerings complement the mentoring outreach, teaching students the importance of life skills, boosting their confidence, and keeping them focused on their growth journey.

Now, here’s where you come in! Whether it’s a small or large contribution, your support can make a real difference in the lives of these students. Join Dr. Faustino Bernadett and Dr. Martha Bernadett in positively impacting your community by donating to The Assistance League of Long Beach today.

Together, we can help these promising students achieve their dreams and build a brighter future for Long Beach.
